I’d like to share a bit about Wagner patches, since there are often questions about their origin and whether they’re “original” or not.
To get the full picture, you need to understand how Wagner used patches and where they came from.
Before the full-scale war in 2022, Wagner only used patches they produced themselves.
When Wagner entered the war in 2022, their first units were wearing their own patches. But after the fighting in Soledar, Bakhmut, and other parts of Donetsk region, they started taking heavy losses. That’s when they began bringing more and more people into Wagner, including prisoners.
New recruits weren’t issued patches. So, most of them simply bought patches from China, usually on AliExpress (Alibaba).
Because of that, many of the patches recovered from dead Wagner fighters actually turned out to be made in China and bought online. Still, if a patch was taken off a Wagner fighter on the battlefield, it’s considered a genuine trophy, no matter where it was produced.
The patches offered here were taken directly from the battlefield, so they are authentic trophies — even if they were manufactured in China and purchased on AliExpress (Alibaba).
